MSPwiz Founder and CEO Kevin Anderson reflects on the year of growth since attending IT Nation Connect Global and why he is going back for more this November.
There are two big reasons I am going to The IT Nation Connect Global Conference November 4-6 in Orlando, FL.
First, I went there last year and had a blast, so, of course I’m going back. The show really lived up to its billing:
“The premier global MSP community conference bringing together industry leaders to learn, connect, and grow. Where a collaborative community unites to solve business challenges and drive MSP success.”
Second, I know it’s going to be even better this year.
To explain why, let’s rewind the tape one year…
Last year at this time, I had a press release in hand announcing the beta launch of MSPwiz, the Managed IT Service Matchmaking platform my team and I had carefully built over the prior year-and-a-half.
I arrived at IT Nation Connect 2025 with a platform that helps businesses find the right MSPs (and vice versa), my press release, and a dream. I couldn’t wait to tell people about it – and I did.
I had built my career as an “IT guy” at several companies, an MSP owner/operator, and a fractional CIO/CTO all before founding MSPwiz.
I also worked LinkedIn like a madman and arranged meetings on my own.
So, what came out of those three great days at the epicenter of the MSP universe?
A lot.
I met Don Penland, and he liked what he heard about MSPwiz so much that a month later he joined our Advisory Board, along with the extended group of advisory board members: Brian Hanify, Dori Spade, George Mellor, Bill Fistori & Dan Baer.
I talked with several MSPs, who soon after listed on our platform, making it even stronger. And I got to “field test” my pitch and value proposition on some of the best minds in the business.
Everyone loved the idea and each, in their own way, signaled their support, either through sharing ideas, encouragement, introductions, or leads.
That’s IT Nation Connect in a nutshell.
Now, heading into The IT Nation Connect Global 2026, I have a year of learning and operating this new MSP matchmaking business under my belt.
I have customers who love the free service we provide, freeing them from a long, arduous, and expensive search process. I have many more MSPs who have signed on and like the model.
And, the tailwind powering MSP adoption is blowing stronger than ever. Managed IT services is no longer niche or a nice to have: SMBs, SMEs, and even larger companies are seeing MSPs as critical to staffing and managing their IT operations, removing cost from said IT operations, and scaling their businesses.
I have a lot to be thankful for, and a lot to look forward to, including meeting you at this year’s event. Want to schedule something in advance? Send me direct message.
No, I’m not “going to Disneyworld”: I’m going to IT Nation Connect, and I’m more than ok with that.

Studies show a majority of small and medium sized businesses and enterprises are unhappy with their current IT support/managed service provider (MSP). So why hold onto what’s not working? Why hesitate to make a change?

The dreaded RFP. Just the thought of developing one, figuring out who to send it to, managing the endless back and forth, and normalizing the feedback is almost enough to make most companies say, “Let’s skip it and make do with what we have.”

In a series of recent blogs, MSPwiz Founder and CEO has been examining the “triggers” that push businesses to hire an MSP. In this blog, Kevin considers an important one – growth.

Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) seeking the services of a managed service provider for IT Support lack the expertise needed to select the right provider. Put another way, the expertise they are seeking is the very expertise they require to make the best choice.

The 2026 Channel Partners MSP 501 list was released, listing the world’s top managed service providers. This list is a big deal for MSPs, providing a data-driven ranking and, to a certain extent, stamp of approval, from an important industry organization.
